HCMS Group was started in January 2020 by an industry leader with more than 28 years of experience across negotiations, payment integrity, provider relations, patient advocacy, healthcare technology and analytics.

Jason Boggs — Founder, HCMS Group
Jason Boggs founded HCMS Group in January 2020 after more than two decades inside the healthcare cost-containment industry.
HCMS Group began by negotiating medical bills directly for uninsured, self-pay patients. Jason still considers this work among the most rewarding of his career, seeing firsthand how a single successful negotiation could change a family's financial future. That patient-first instinct remains at the center of the HCMS Group today, even as the company expands to serve employer groups, unions, MGUs, and stop-loss vendors.
Jason's career spans leadership roles at Zelis Healthcare, Advanced Medical Pricing Solutions (AMPS), Medxoom, and Homestead Smart Health Plans, and most recently as Vice President of Payment Integrity & Client Management at Health Payer Consortium. He began his career in the healthcare cost-containment industry in 1998 at Innovative Health Strategies (IHS), where he spent 15 years building a world-class information technology department and directing their AWAC product before the company was acquired by inVentiv Health. He has personally negotiated more than 659 claims, averaging 64% savings off billed charges and saving clients over $21.3 million.
Jason also serves as President of iMPAC Consulting, LLC, a group of physicians who perform claims reviews, medical necessity reviews, and specialty negotiations. HCMS Group and iMPAC partner closely, regularly referring work to one another to give clients direct access to physician-level expertise on complex and high-dollar claims.
"This team brings iMPAC's deep expertise in the practice of medicine — proper coding, specialty nuances, and the billing games: what is right versus what is not. Their combined, wide-ranging clinical and financial experience allows for inventive solutions, and their focus on the individual supports ethical decision-making."
